National Heatmap Lauched
AEA have developed a new heat map for the UK on behalf of DECC. DECC's new UK heat map can found here.
The update based on "Google Maps" technology appears to be a significant improvement on the former "Industrial Heat Maps" website. New features include:
• Searches carried out visually, by post district code or eastings and northings,
• Post district code zoom,
• Enhanced resolution, heat demand information down to a resolution of 1km sq.
• Multiple heat demand overlays, overlays showing heat demand by large industry, small industry, warehousing, domestic, commercial, public and education sectors.
• Database driven search results, searches carried out on the map, via postcode, or Eastings and Northings return the heat demand breakdown by sector within the specified search area.
• Search sharing, searches can be shared using a bespoke linking system which means your colleagues can review the original search.
• Downloadable search results, search results can be downloaded in an excel friendly format.
